Illness Policy
Because we work with medically vulnerable people, we have a strict illness policy. We ask that you do not attend your appointment if you are unwell or may be contagious.
If you are unsure whether you should attend, please contact us before your appointment. We are happy to reschedule your appointment or, where appropriate, arrange a telehealth consultation.
Please reschedule your appointment if:
You have symptoms of a cold, influenza, COVID-19 or another contagious respiratory illness (such as a new cough, sneezing, sore throat, runny nose, fever or chills), even if your symptoms are mild. Please wait until at least 7 days from symptom onset and until your symptoms are clearly improving before attending.
You have experienced vomiting or diarrhoea. Please wait until 48 hours after your last episode before attending, as these illnesses remain highly contagious even after symptoms improve.
Someone in your household has experienced vomiting or diarrhoea. Please wait until 48 hours after the last household member's symptoms have completely recovered before attending in person. These illnesses remain highly contagious even after symptoms improve.
Thank you for helping us protect the health of our patients and staff.
Cancellation Policy
We appreciate as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule your appointment. Wherever possible, we ask for 72 hours' notice so we have the opportunity to offer your appointment to another patient.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment, or failure to attend without notice, may incur the full consultation fee.
However, if you become unwell with a contagious illness, please do not attend your appointment to avoid a cancellation fee. Simply let us know as soon as reasonably possible, and we will happily reschedule your appointment or arrange a telehealth consultation where appropriate. If you arrive sick we will reschedule your appointment.
